wake-field basket

Wake - a region of disturbed flow. Hand crocheted, the wake-field basket is a reflection on the flow of life in my hometown - Wakefield, Rhode Island.

5% of sales for this basket will be donated to Save the Bay, an organization based in Narragansett, Rhode Island striving to protect and improve the Narragansett Bay.

"Save The Bay is an independent, member-supported, nonprofit organization. We got our start as a grassroots organization in 1970, when a small group of concerned citizens came together to fight an oil refinery proposed for the shores of Tiverton. Their work began our legacy as the eyes, ears and voice for Narragansett Bay. Today we carry out our mission through three areas of work: advocacy, education, and habitat restoration and adaptation."

Each basket is designed to contain the essentials (wallet, phone, keys, water bottle, book and of course a tube of sunscreen) perfectly for everyday use

Fiber content will vary for custom baskets but is always natural and grown, spun, and dyed in the USA.

*Baskets are wearable art, they are made to last but should be used with care and consideration. Hand wash in cool water with gentle soap and lay flat to dry.
